Join us for an Eclipse Campout!

Hello friends. We’ve been working on building out a permaculture ranch/ retreat/ stewards-of-the-land space just north of California, on a mountaintop in Oregon. We have views of Mt Shasta, and can see for miles in every direction. We call it Earthrise Ranch. 

Four years ago, I was in leadership at Tesla and had built a ClimateTech company in the bay area. I burned out and I moved here.

I thought I’d propose this here, hoping that it can be an only friends, and friends of friends, campout. It’s a work in process. My goal is for this property to serve the community.

This eclipse is too good of an opportunity. This is our first event here.  

The eclipse is around 9am on Saturday, October 14th.

Details:
  • $150/person, or $125/person for a group of 4 (load up the car! kids under 13 free
  • Friday and Saturday night camping included
  • Open camping
  • Shared fire and sheltered communal kitchen (opportunity for shared meals)
  • Starlink internet 
  • 4-wheel drive required - or - you can park at the bottom of the mountain and we drive you up.
  • Leave no trace principles 
  • Dogs allowed on leash (we have free range ducks and geese)

Included:
  • Off-grid living/ land tour and Q&A, smoke medicine bundle making, crystal singing bowl sound bath(s) by Elena, high-quality outdoor speakers, shared fire for grilling, evolving into a bonfire at night. If you want to learn how to use a chainsaw and cut down a deadstanding tree, we can do that, too. If you’re into herbalism, let’s talk about swapping medicinal plants. We have something like echinacea here, along with an abundance of cedar and juniper.

Likely weather: Clear skies and highs in the mid-70s, lows in the 40s. We’re high desert. Plan accordingly.

If you want to arrive Thursday night and work remotely on Friday, we can make that happen, too.
Emergency cell phone charging is available, but bring a battery and solar panel to be self sufficient!

Proceeds go towards permaculture and biodiversity efforts on the ranch.
