Adding time before or after:
  • There is a lot of free, dispersed, camping in the national forests around Mount Shasta.
  • Additional full-day activities:
  • Lava beds national monuments and Petroglyph Point - Extraordinary 3,000-5,000 year old petroglyphs. Lava tubes and lava fields like you’re on Hawaii. You feel like you’re on another world. Bring headlamps.
  • Tule Lake Birding refuge
  • Crater Lake National Monument

Other favorite spots:
  • Jackson Wellsprings - natural mineral hot spring with a big pool, hot tub, dry sauna, and wet sauna. Open camping is $20/night, which gets you a discount on a soak. There is a goddess temple and divine masculine temple on the grounds as well.
  • Umpqua Hot Springs
  • Sherm’s grocery in Klamath Falls - we love our grocery store. Fresh meat and organic offerings.

Mount Shasta day experience:
  • Mt Shasta City park to get water.
  • Drive up to the top fo the road on Mount Shasta, admire the view. Walk/hike panther meadows to the spring (30 min total). You can camp in the parking lot across from the panther meadows trailhead for 3 days. It’s delightful. No services.
  • Panther Meadows is sacred. Please be respectful.
  • Interested in a spiral experience? Stop at the Red Fir Flat group campground during the day, and walk/hike to Ascention Rock. Many people and groups spend time in meditation and ceremony here, but it is also frequently deserted.
  • Take the bumpy road to Sand Flat for a great view of the peak, and to see how people enjoy extended camping on the mountain.
  • Bunny Flat has the only bathroom on the mountain. Be prepared. Ladies: bring a pee funnel and bottle.
  • Check out the shops in town. Each has their own vibe. Crystal Matrix is my favorite. If you ask, the proprietor will help you select a stone by connecting to your spirit guides and your higher self.

If you have more time:
  • Faery Falls - a hike up to a waterfall -  I saw two rattlesnakes on the path, so stay aware.
  • Pluto’s cave - Lava tube 25 minutes north of Mt. Shasta City. People say that there are spirits or aliens in the tubes.

Spirituality/ legends/ myths of Mount Shasta
  • Mount Shasta is said to the be root chakra of the world.
  • Many sightings of UFO here.
  • St Germain is associated with Shasta. St Germain is said to be an ascended master and the writings associated with him include the “I AM” movement/principles and the Violet Flame. The Violet Flame is something that you can invite in while meditating, and it can assist you in clearing or inviting in energy or what you’d like.
  • Mount Shasta is said to be the home of Lemuirans, a civilization equivalent to that of Atlantis. Lemuirans lived on the continent of Mu, and then it was destroyed and they fled to inside of Shasta, and now live inside Shasta in a city named Telos.
  • I just realized this the last time I was on Shasta, but my phone compas was 180 degrees off. I tried to use a star gazing app, and it was WAAYYYY off. Magnetic are off and vary in the whole area. At Earthrise ranch.
